sooo i have a 07 road king classic and have wated to change the speedo to a tach/speedo combo for some time now. well a couple weeks AGO I SAW ONE THAT I REALLY LIKE but its for 08 and up model years.. the harley part # is 70900072 it has the fuel gauge in it and a gear indicator in it. the older model parts dont have the fule gauge or shift indicators in them has or does any one know if i try this new one what will or wont work on it. if the gear or fuel indicators dont work it wont bother me lol
the older part # is 74677-07 this is for a 07 speedo/tach combo
thanks in advance..
It might work for speedo and tach only. It is easy enough to see if the plugs fits but there could be other reasons the speedo and tach would not work. I wonder if the dealer would let you return it if it didn’t. It seems to me that electrical stuff is often not returnable. I would ask if not maybe the dealer could call Harley’s tech department for you.

+1 on Dakota Digital. HLY2004 has all the functions plus volts, cyl head temp, and performance readouts. $245 +$20 to set mileage on their website at dakotadigital.com.
I really really doubt you can buy one, try to install, and then return. Most electronics are non-returnable. If it says it wont work with your 07, then my guess is it wont work.
