Default is my hearing shot or what another speaker thread

ive have had a time trying to get my bikes radio volume louder at speed, a little history of the bike, its a cop glide so came with no radio, i started out with putting sony head unit and a pair of hogtunes 5 1/4 s, that set up blew me away in the garage but at speed all the way up barely can hear it, read you need 6.5s so i got a set of alpine sps 610c same thing garage, sitting still great sound hit the road volume all the way up you can barely hear it, so back to the drawing board once more, installed a rocford pbr 300x4 amp and 6x9 polk audios in the bags, olmost the same deal, when stiing still this setup you can have aparty around it its is loud and sounds good, you even have bass pumping out the bags, walk an 1/8 mile away you can still here it clear, but heresthe problem get up to speed 60 or 70 it has to be all the way up to about distortion levels to here it good, do yall have any recomendations on how to get more volume at speed, any suggesstions would be appreciated

You're battling wind noise. Earplugs can help (sounds weird but it works), earbuds eliminate the problem, or perhaps a taller windshield would help as well.

I use ear buds on the open road- music in, noise out.
