Default Being Cheap

I saw a set of Cycle Shack mufflers on sale for 48.++ on a website called Biker Garage 101. In the description, they say can be used with Cycle Shack headpipes. It also says they have 2 inch inlet. I know the stock HD pipes are 1 3/4" OD. My question is. Does anyone know of an adapter that would work or do you think it possible to have the ends of the HD pipes swedged up to 2" ID..

I'd say look for something that fits. Work-arounds typically end up just costing you more money in the long run.

Go to a muffler shop and get a reducer or your local napa!

Yea, you know when the pipe is put on the machine at the muffler shop and the end is made to fit outside or inside the muffler or exhaust pipe. Not sure what it is called, swedged came to mind, but most likely something else. Thanks for the input, and I was wondering about the quality of the mufflers, even though the CS website speaks of warranties, etc. I just can't make myself pay 300.00 or more for a set of mufflers that I may or may not like. Seems like a high profit product to me. I am from the old school, take an existing product and make it fit and look good on your bike. Where would the biker accessory market be today if folks like Arlen Ness(remember when he was just starting)and others that started in the 60's/70's had decided not to experiment and make new products.

making something that isn't available or totally different and cool is one thing, screwing up your head pipe is another, we would be fine without arlen ness, he sold his soul to Victory anyway.
