Default Bottle Jack Question

Lately, it seems that my jack is failing - I have the el-cheapo deluxe Sears version (works just fine for $89) and the bottle jack hardly moves when I pump it - in fact, it gets to the point where it won't move as it's being pumped. I have added fluid - no help. I tried removing any air (by pumping while stepping on the release) - no help. Seals? TIA!!

Bottle jack made in Lower Slobovia... maybe repairable... but they are cheap so see if the outside measurements are the same as another one you could buy.

Warranty expired?

Take the jack back to Sears & ask very nicely "I realize this jack is out of warranty, but is there anything you can do to help me out??"

A buddy of mine did this with a three year old jack & they gave him a new jack for free.

"works fine for $ 89", but it does not work, ya get what ya pay for, get a new "Good" jack, it ain't worth damaging the bike or worst yet getting hurt when it fails completely. There is a time and place to save $$$$, this ain't one of them.
