I bought a 2006 RoadKing classic 1year ago, on feb 24th of this year it will be time to renew a service contract, I bought for 1 yr when I got this bike. The bike had 3,200 miles on it and it has 5,300 miles now. I can get a 1 yr service contract for 1.042.00 or a 2 year for 1,300.00. What do I do??. Do I spent 13oo.oo for piece of mind, or spend it for other upgrades. Any problems with this model that anyone knows of that may happen with afew more miles??? Thanks for the help
save your money, since you only put 2100 miles on your bike, and they only service the bike every 5000mi. so you wasted your money. its worth it if you put a lot of miles on your bike. A warranty might be a good buy. oh i also heard you can buy these contracts at different dealership, and they are price them differently!

God bless the 82nd Airborne Division.
Hard question to answer for you. Have you had any problems? Do you plan to keep the bike? What do you plan for upgrades? Some cancel your warranty. I believe 06 was a good year. I know a guy who bought an 06 Road King new and has over 105K on it. The only thing he's done except regular maint, was replacing the primary chain tensioner.
Tough call; with the warranty the MoCo is betting it won't break, you in taking it is betting it will. It's a gamble. You could take $1042.00 or $1300.00 and stash it away with no warranty and play it out that way. If you have a service manual, service regular, and take reasonable care of it: it might be worth trying your luck.
They seem to be making them pretty good now. Good luck!
