I had knee surgery a few years ago. In December it started bothering me again so after 3 weeks at home I finally got in for an MRI. Turned out I'd been walking around on a broken tibia instead but the pain was identical. Back to work in a few weeks.
Not that I ever do this but make sure you give it time to heal before you ride (yea, whatever, enjoy your ride first day you can stand on it without agony)
Hey, I posted this weekend on my first ride with a new knee. I had total knee replacement in mid December and was riding after 5 weeks. What surgery did you have? I highly recommend therapy, they can help you get back faster!

Your one BADASS! I would check your first MRI and see if the Doc, who read it was in ERROR,
Your Ortho-pod should have listened to his patients complaints, I hope he felt you leg up post surgery, and listened to what you had to say!
Had total knee Sept 13, 2011. Took my first ride 6 weeks to the day from surgery. Listen to and follow your docs directions to the letter for a faster recovery. Your physical therapist should be your best friend and remember no hitting them. Rule #1, you hit them and they will make you work that much harder . Seriously, hope you have a speedy recovery and are back on the road soon.
If you are as dated as I am and can remember the old "English Racer" bicycle as they were called with the 3 speed shifter on the handle bars....well ...I found an old one in the garage with a broken shifter cable so it was stuck in 3rd gear. Rode that around the neighborhood for a couple of weeks and was good to go. Tip from an old boxer friend of mine. Good luck with your recovery!
