Default Chrome Theme's

First of all, I would like to say that I am receiving a lot of valuable information from this forum. I am getting ready to do a some chrome upgrades. I want to keep the "Classic" style on my RKC. I have seen a lot of great looking bikes here, and would like any feed back. Flames vs Skulls, HD bar logo. Short question, Is it OK to mix and match these themes?

There are no rules, it's whatever You think looks right! IMHO though, I do think one theme looks best, whatever it is. Good luck.

I always had the motto make it look like it is suppose to be there. just cause JP cycles has a skull horn cover and you like skulls don't mean it will look right on your bike. lol

Well. Since you asked, I'll put p my opinion on this matter.

First, it's your bike. Trim it up the way you see fit, and do so to suit your taste.

For me, I think some of these things look terrible and gaudy. The bikes come from the factory suitable to ride, but they do need some trimmings to really have a finished look. Simple pieces look tasteful, while the busy pieces look like $hit.

Sometimes, more really is less.

JMHO....

...and likewise LESS is more. Personally I think the moco does a fine job at styling the various models and "personalizing" has a fine line between looks good, nice, classy or badass... and just god awfull gawdy. If you want "mix n match" to be your theme.... then you probably can't have too much.

Here are to examples that might help . The first bike looks like rainbow bright build it and has nearly every bolt on piece you can order including a fairing. The second bike has a nice paint theme, custom wheel that not over the top and some small chrome accent pieces.

If you like the bolt on stuff and your friends do to, go for it. My friends have similar style as me and our bikes ride well together as a group. One really doesnt stand out more then the other.
