My bud rick has one on his harley herritage it was splice n play back then i do know hd has more high end models now thst should be plug n play......my e-glide has one that lights up nice .....it was installed on my 97 and was plug n play......your dealer can give you specs n such but aside from the cost of the unit its all of about a half hour job if they do it so install should be affordable.....if your not equipped or mechanicly inclined id advise to let them do it.
Search Brightasslights and you will get the answer you are looking for. No splicing wire because it has OEM plug. Just unscrew the old tail light, unplug old tail light, plug in the new tail light, and screw the BAL tail light back on. 5 minutes and your done. That is until you start playing with the settings and cannot make up your mind on what setting you like.
Basically 2 models, (not considering if you want smoke lens or a slant lens)
