The green power light is the latest revision from HT. Some amps on some bikes had problems out of the box due to low voltage @ amp on start up. HT would repair for free but it was a PITA to do two installs with ship and repair time in between. The problem would cause front or rear or both speakers to fail to come on without doing several off on sequences and there was no set pattern to when / if it would happen. I think the new green lamp versions are set up to allow less than 7 volts @ power up. If you install per supplied harness the amp powers off of the cig lighter. This is hot (amp on) whenever the key switch is in the on or acc position.
Thanks for the info....The hogtunes website has been down for the last couple of days also....Have bought a used 24.2 amp w/red pwr lite to power 7W lower woofers a new 40.4 amp for the front, w/tweeter bar and rear speakers...Will be installing before spring and would like to only do it once....Will contact HTunes first of week and ask about the fix before installation....thanks again....
