Hey guys, I know that the RKC is a very popular bike with those on this forum, but out on the street? Reason I wonder about it is I was at the dealership today buying a pair of boots and decided to check out the used bikes parked out front. I couldn't believe the number of classics they had. There must have been 12 or 13 RKCs sitting out there amongst the Ultras, EG Classics, Sportsters, Softtail Customs, old and new Wide Glides, and Heritages. And only 1 lone regular RK.
Anyone else see this many classics in the used bike lots?? There were twice as many classics than any model of the other bikes they have for sale.
Not here. I hadda look for 6 moths to find just the right RKC for me. Here, the popularity is SGs, & I can't understand why--never cared for 'em, or ANY fairing bike, for that matter.

I never thought of that. Around here, about the only bikes that go to auction are wrecks or worn out. Repos usually get dealt to the dealers by the banks before ever making it to any auction.
That is a reflection of their popularity. Today's riders trade for new bikes at a rapid rate compared to years past. There probably are more used RKCs for sale than others for the same reason there are more used Chevys for sale than used Lamborghinis.
Down here, any touring bike is hot but both RK's & RKC's are in high demand. The dealership I bought mine from never has more than 3 or 4 in stock. They don't stick around long. Some that they take in on trade get sold before they even make it to the showroom floor.
I ask you who would want a motorcycle that looked like you bought it at a Tupperware party????. A motorcycle needs to look like a Motorcycle not some Buck Rogers contraption .Just my .02 worth.
