I think you guys of this opinion are probably right. I live on a rough gravel road and I've found little pebbles and even some good sized rock pieces in the oddest places. I believe that if your concerned, you would be better served by the 3-M Chip Guard. I use that on my frame lowers because of where I live and it does the job without allowing anything to get under it.

So let me get this straight, you guys are gonna put something that looks like crap on your "perfect" saddle bag lid to keep it looking perfect.......WHILE UNDER SAID CRAPPY DEVICE????????
Whats the point?????
Have you guys ever took a bra off a car and saw what happend to the paint that was supposed to be protected and looking perfect???
Sorry I somehow ticked you off, I was just providing some info, first you have never seen them, but they are sight unseen crappy, thank you for your opinion on something new you have never seen
My wife has used Hog Covers on her street glide since day one and they work very well to protect against lazy foot disease. Her bike is a 2012 ember red sunglo that shows paint defects readily and I can find zero scratches or rub marks on the bags. They look good and folks ask her about them wherever she goes.
It's different than those weird bra things kids put on their Honda Civics with the big wings and silly giant exhausts.
Thought about buying some sort of cover, for now just wax and Scratch-X for the boot scuffs. This stuff looks like it might be decent. Anyone try it? http://3mauto.com/paint-defender-spray-film.html

Thanks for the information on the covers. My wife has scuffed mine a few times so it may work for me. Too bad the other guy doesn't understand that you where only sharing information. Takes all kinds doesn't it.
