I know this is not the "engine" thread but I thought I'd get more response here.
Thinking about the SE255 cams and a Pro Tuner for my ride.
I'm lookin for input from anyone using the SE Pro Tuner with a cam swap.
click on the tech forum dropdown at the top of the page and go to tuner ,ecm, electical
and there is a section for sepst, powercommander and a bunch of info there.
check it out
I run a SEPST on my RKC, no cam change though and I like it better than the last two PCV's I had. This programmer is used by the Harley Race Teams and will give you all the programming you need for any build. I did not want another piggy back system, had some gremlins in the last two and did not want to go through that again. JMO
I've got one. Great tuner. Infinitely tunable by your mech w/ dyno. You wont be tempted to tune it yourself. Good for future tunes as you add components. Went with 255's, it is purrfect for me and the wife rides the crap out of it.
I know that a lot of people use it but IMHO of all the "flash" based tuning devices it is at the bottom. I find it is cumbersome as a program and has the least amount of features to tune with. It is better than when it first came out but still has a ways to go to catch up to other products on the market. Tech support from HD is non existant.

I have no previous experience with the original race tuner but the new pro tuner has tons of settings on it. There are seperate graphs for timing, fuel and one other thing. You do have to have some computer skills to use it.
There is not a "questioner" like putting your profile in a bunch of drop down menus. You have to look thru the tuning maps and pick the one you want to use.
I like how my bike runs with the canned map for just an air cleaner and race exhaust but I know there is no replacement for being dyno tuned.

Yes I know. There is still less tables than other devices.
