my advice?

don't worry about the resale value of the color. just ride the damn thing till the wheels fall off, then get you a new one. by then, they'll probably have the dual core flux capicator version available.. then we'll be arguing whether the hawkings version is better than the einstein version or vice versa.....

just enjoy it, thats what you bought it for, isn't it?

I'd jump on it. I love that color. I even think the gold one is nice. Not everything has to be black. And while not that fond of a white bike, the SE pearl white Ultra is nothing but sexy!!!

Not that it matters, but I think the gold looks great, it's the crazy tear accents that don't do it for me. If it had a simpler two-tone scheme like your current bike, I think it would have had wider appeal. But a nice bike none the less.
