Default PCV connector Grease

How much Dialectric grease are you guys using on your PCV to ECM connector? Originally I used none because the directions didn't call for it. But later on I read that it is now recommended. The last time I pulled it apart I just brushed a small very light coating on with an artist paint brush. However, last night I watched my buddy squeeze a huge blob in the connector of his new Tuner right from the tube and push it together. It was squeezing out of the connector. He said thats the way its done?? Thoughts? What do you do.

No contact issues. The contacts should be made so they make metal to metal contact therefore the grease will not cause any problems with this. The grease is to prevent moisture from entering and to help prevent corrosion of metal contacts. It really does not take a lot, but putting too much should not cause any problems. Most of the Harley connector are silicon sealed, so the corrosion issue is the main problem over time.

Thanks. Its the corrosion I want to protect the connector pins from. I also put a little on my throttle body connector to help protect against the intermittent limp mode issues many are referring to. I think I need a little more on each.
