I am no expert on either, but I do know that this one particular statement is not true. A certified PC tuner has a computer that automatically makes the proper adjustments without any guesswork at all. It will give you a complete custom map in about 2 hours
I think you have more options with the PC, and most motorheads I know prefer them. As a long time rider and a few years of motocross racing, and many years of exposure to the Flat Track scene being around those that race and those that wrench, the KEY TWO WORDS IN ALL OF THE PREVIOUS POSTS ARE.................GOOD TUNER
Very simply, to get the most out of the tuner, you need a dyno. Thus, you then need a dyno shop that has a well-documented sucess with using your tuner choice.
I had the local HD shop (who pushes the PCIII) tune my SERT - a mistake (they took the closest map and attempted to tweak it), found out later what they did did not make much sense.
Just rip all that crap off and bolt on Carb, spend a half a day with some jets and your done!Just couldn't resist, this thread has been too entertaining.

And they do all this without ever seeing you bike...
Does it really BLAINE? If you do some comparing on the07's, those are better #s than most. Have you seen anyone post #s like your buddy Jamie has on his website? Well that bike does have 2 into one's. All I have is the SERT, A/C and slipons and that is about what my bike puts out.. Maybe Santa will bring you an 07
Bountyhunter is still sending me Messages. You and I just aint at that point BH. I'll just post it here for ya....
FYI: MOST solid dyno tunes on Stage one 88's are routinely gettin' 73HP+ (75/84 on mine). A WELL tuned, stage one 96", should be markin' the chart around 80HP or better (4th gear)...hey, maybe NICK shortchanged ya on the tune? Why argue & attack, the SERT/PCIII dyno debate can never be settled here on the forum! Anyway, best of the holidays & remember, PCIII will continue to rule for some time to come & that IS a fact that can't be disputed. Keep on lurkin'!
