I think you made the right choice - I went the other way with a e-glide for the big road & the RT around town - The RT will do it all - If my old legs give out I'll sell the Ultra & keep the RT - Few hundred pounds make a big difference for an old fat white guy - I'm still a fan of the 1100 over the 1200 - just fits my **** better - both are fine motorbikes - tom
