Default Just before I pulled the trigger

Well this week I was going to pull the trigger on a 2012 big blue pearl street glide then a new guy who just joined my group just got one. ugh! Really? Top it off he has the same first name as me. lol GREAT.

So going to see if my dealer can track down a Tequila Sunrise Orange. Those don't last very long on the floor and not sure how many are floating around out there. Kinda bright but oh well it will be harder to run me over by the cages.

If they can't find one would you still go with the blue? We both have bald shaved heads too. Just my luck. Guess there is also new colors in July with the 2013's hit.

Stick to your guns, pull the trigger & make it your own. He'll be jealous as heck to see your customized/modded ride outshines his...JMO.

Well you could aLways go with the most common color black.
Then no one would think anything of the other as everyone else has one of those.

I have the BBP Street Glide, I see quite a few here also have a BBP bike, well it just shows we have good taste
I would not what someone else bought influence what I wanted....if you really want a BBP Street Glide, get one...like stated eairler black bikes are everywhere....that doesn't stop the riders wanting a black bike....
Just saying....

It's not like your two women waering the same dress. Go with what you want and be happy. Funny, same here. My neighbor and I both have Lexus suvs. In 2010 I decided to get another and wife and I picked out the color we wanted. Just as we went to oder it, my neighbor upgraded his and bought the same color. I did tell him we also wanted that color and asked if he cared. He couldnt have cared less. Had our neighbors rubbing their heads for a while.

Thx for the advice and help. Just didn't want to do black every 4 out of 5 SG's you see are black.

Got another buddy who has a black denim but I like chrome and shinny things.

I was going to say change up. But Casper is right - you should get what you really want regardless. I would imagine other riders in your group were aware that you were going for blue no? If so, it might seem even worse that you changed it up because the new guy bought one. I would feel exactly the same as you, but it kind of comes off as "the same dress at the ball" issue for women, which we he-man types should be above.

Either way - congrats on the new ride. Enjoy!

I agree with most others and hold your ground. If the blue is what you like then go for it. Only so many colors to choose from you are bound to have what someone else has. The blue has been popular for 2012 and I see just as many of those now as I do the black.

Get what you want. Don't overthink what everyone else has. I wanted a black bike. You know what I bought? A black bike. I was not the first one and it makes absolutely zero difference.

Get the color you want. You will be living with it every day.
