are these good??? it says they are not air.. what are they?

There just aftermarket (probably foriegn) 11" standard oil damped shocks with a spring preload collar on them and full chrome spring covers. They fit 80 to 2006 and probably fit poorly. To reduce the ride hieght a full 2 inches, the shocks total travel before bottoming out will probably be about 1" or so if your lucky. If the total travel is these shocks is more than 1" then the tire will most likely bottom out on the inside of the rear fender and chew up the wiring harness. You get what you pay for and in this case, you'll get cheap shocks with a rough ride, minimal ajustments and unknown travel that may or may not make your life more difficult. Caveat Emptor.

If you have air shocks, you might consider lowering brackets like these:

They lower the bike about an inch, which is all you really want to avoid bottoming out riding 2 up. Mine worked out great. Easy to install.
