I changed out the fuel filter on my '09 Ultra
a few minutes ago after I had been reading the
threads on taking it out and doing it. I must say
that it was easier than I imagined from seeing
some of the pics from others. I had to have been
overthinking it too much. I was able to change it
out without disconnecting any fuel lines or wiring
what so ever. I am a little over 25K on mileage
and was glad that I did it after seeing how dark
gray/black the old filter was.
Did you put it back on the same way? I am over due to do this and was wondering what pitfalls there are without having the tool for the collar ring.
No pitfalls to worry about. just be careful while removing the ring. I used some spray silicone prior to removal, and the ring slid right off. It also goes on easily.
