The only complaint I have about the HD jiffy stand is that it doesn't shutoff the bike if it is down and you put it in gear. Have you ever seen what happens when someone rides off not knowing that the jiffy stand is still down? Not pretty, for the bike or rider. And yes, I know it's a matter of paying attention, but nobody is perfect.
What happens when you ride off not knowing that the jiffy stand is still down on your bike?
On mine, if that happens I just reach down with my foot and flip it up. Nothing happens as long as I don't come to a stop and the bike leans over.
From force of habit when parking I leave it in first gear, b/4 putting jiffy down I roll the bike forward w/clutch out then put stand down. It ain't going nowhere..
And before the poser police come in to correct me, I always place and start in nuetral w/stand up.
