$14.5 for an 11? Smokin' deal!!
You could ride that for a year or 2 and sell it for that at the end of 2 years I would think..
ABS,a good thing? I dunno.. probably so..
How long have you been ridin'?
Have you needed ABS before, all the years that you have been ridin'?
No ABS for me and the guy above needs to learn how to ride, how closely to follow and how to brake. ABS does not cure stupidity.
As for me, I suppose if the bike I wanted came only with it well... then I guess I would to decide how badly I wanted the bike.
I'm in the camp that believe some of you should maybe reconsider riding if ABS "has saved you several times" or "kept the bike from fallng over."
I think many who have ABS are now riding well past their skill level because of it with the false belief that ABS will compensate for their lack of attention and ability.
just my .02. Don't shoot me for it.
thats more or less what im trying to say
but you put it so much better
+2
Whoa daddy, bad idea in my mind. Buying something he doesn't want in hopes of selling it to someone else and hope "to not lose too much?" Sounds like a several thousand dollar gamble, would you underwrite it for him?
There are other ABS equipped bikes out there if you want one. The "experts" on this forums keep pointing out how HD has overproduced and demand is down, well then there should be plenty out there and good deals to be had on bikes. Either that or the experts don't know what they are talking about.
I'm confused. Why would someone even suggest that I underwrite someone elses bike.

When you advise someone to buy something in hopes of selling it later when the ABS bike comes available in the hopes of not losing too much money on the deal, the first thing that comes to my mind is , how would you like to take that risk that you are advising him to take?

Michigan State Police motor units now require training with abs bikes and all their new bikes come with it. The real world and training results are incredible and two Ov my very close friends, both of whom completed the MSP training in this past year, now swear by it. Both were skeptics before the training. One is selling his prior SG so that he can get a newer model with abs. I trust their opinions.
When I crashed my former bike almost a year ago, I was firmly convinced ABS would have saved me. When I went shopping for my new bike, it had to have ABS. I haven't needed it yet, but as someone already said, "it only takes once."
I used my ABS last summer when I came around a curve in the road. I Admit that I was driving toooo fast. There were 3 deer in the road. ABS was what kept me under control and I never went down that evening. Would I hold out for ABS? You bet I would!
