I have the VH Dresser Duals which are True duals and the VH big Round mufflers on my 11 Ultra Limited. Like the look, sound and performance. Yes, you will loose a very small
amount of low end grunt, but after a few rides, I dont even notice. Its a mute issue with
me. I got my tuner from Fuel Moto and Jamie will take care of your maps and tuning issues................... hdman
If your going for looks I'd say dresser duals but if you want performance go with the power duals. I never was a fan of the big crossover on the power duals but they do perform well.
I have a 2010 Street Glide and I just installed the V&H Dresser Duals along with the V&H Hi Output slipons. It is in the process of being dialed in as we speak along with some other work I am having done. The sound was fantastic. I, like you did alot of reading on the topic till I got a headache. You can't go wrong either way, it comes down to preference. I liked the looks of the dresser duals. I think the performance as they say negligable....in the end I bought a touring bike to cruise....if I was interested in racing I would have gone with the V-Rod.
Finally getting around to changing my headpipes. The selection is down to either True Duals or Dresser Duals.
Looking for opinions from people who have them, love 'em, hate 'em?
I already have Monster Ovals, SE AC and PC-V. Time to lose the cat.
If anyone is running either of these with a PC-V, what map are you using?
Opinions, comments?
Thanks!
I get comments both ways on exhaust. I run the power duals and am very happy with the looks sound and performance. The way I look at it is if you are spending the money, might as well get a little performance. I have a good combo going.
I went with V&H Dresser Duals. Super fit and sound. Work great with my set up and still have room for big bore if and when. Running PCV-retrofit from FM - no issues. Ride Safe and often.
Thanks for all the input. I have to make up MY mind, seems like the split is about 50/50 between the 2 pipe styles.
If I were doing this from from scratch, I would go with a Power Vision or MasterTune and different mufflers. However, the Ovals and Power Commander have been on the bike for 2 years so I'm just changing the headpipe, for now anyway! Happy with everything else.
Power duals wtih monster ovals, found both on ebay from different sellers, got the whole package for under 1k shipped!
I love the look of the pipe and its got a nice deep sound when you get on it.
I also have the Power Vision, get it from fuel moto, they have some custom maps with your set up, and then you can do data logging and fine tune to your ride.
Good luck.
