Thanks for all the help and ideas. I found the one on ebay I was looking for. It's called an air vent sticky mount. I am going to order one and then see if I can drill a couple of small holes through it, so to back the adhesive up with a couple of bolts. Also plan on running the wire through the fairing or maybe between the inner fairing and windshield. Will take pics when I get started.
