Got Rinehart true duals, stage one and new bars done on my 2011 RKC with 1100 miles on it.
My concern is, so as I took off on my first ride I took it up to about 40 and shifted to 3rd (to lope along) and the bike had a hick up. It seems I have to run at a higher RPM or the beast falls on its face. As long as I'm accelling or decelling everything is good, although it pops like crazy on decell. It seems difficult to cruse at 30. Any thoughts?
Love the Wild 1 515's and the sound of the 4" rineharts and the added vroom of the stage one!!!

Stage one is typically an exhaust change, hi flow air filter and a flash to the ECM or a tuner application. So, I'm assuming from what you have written, you have changed the exhaust and air cleaner with no tune of any kind? If you are calling the ECM flash at a dealer the Stage one, you should go back there and tell them to straighten it out. If you haven't had it flashed, you need to either do that or invest in a tuner and get it set up. From what you have written, it is hard to determine your exact setup.
A download and a tune are 2 completely different things.
A download is a canned map...... May or maynot fit your part choice.
A tune is taking and running your bike on a dyno and making changes depending on how it is running. If there are specfic rpm problems such as yours a tune is the way to get them resolved.
Call www.fuelmotousa.com and have Jamie sell you a Power Commander or Power Vision with a canned map for your specific application. Cost you about 300.00 and your bike will run great.
You need a dyno tune. You can try a flash from the dealer or buy a power commander with a "canned" MAP downloaded to it & see if your bike runs right with that. We can give you a Power Commander V & a MAP for $299, if you want it custom tuned by your nearest dyno tuner you will need this anyway. Go to www.dynojet.com & search for your nearest tune shop.
Cheapest fix which works without a problem for me would be Vied from nightrider.com
Dont plan on changing cams or any other engine work besides the stage one. I have plenty of power as it is now so I dont feel the need to spend another $500 on a tuner.

Even without ever changing anything else beyond intake & exhaust on your bike, the Power Commander is by far the best way to calibrate, tune, reach peak efficiency, and maximize power gains. At only $299 with a MAP downloaded from our database to meet your specific bike configuration, you can't go wrong. Dyno-Jet is hands the down the best around, nothing else compares or comes close.

And when the canned map fails to fix the issue you pay another $300 for a dyno tune. Dont get me wrong a tuner that has been properly dynoed is the best way to get every bit of power out of the motor but it really depends on what you are going for.
