did the women do anything to indicate they had a problem. Just standing there looking pretty don't warrant stopping to see if they are just bsing.

Yes, there's the helmet on the ground signal, but that doesn't seem to be common knowledge with most. In this day and age of cell phones/IPADs/GPS etc, if you want or need roadside assistance, you've got to actively signal for it, otherwise the assumption will likely be that help is already on the way. Hazard lights flashing or waving down motorists is an unmistakeable signal that someone needs help.
Now, if you told us that the 4 women riders were trying to flag down help and no Harley rider responded, I'd be pissed along with everybody else. But that's not what happened. They experienced minor inconvenience and you got to be the knight in shining armor. All those riders who passed by without stopping read the situation correctly. All in all, it should serve as a good learning experience for those involved (some woud say a "teachable moment" ). If you need help, then let someone know. Just my opinion.
Dude, does my bike even have emergency flashers? If it does, I don't know how to operate them.

I'm guessing the bikers must've been a gay motorcycle gang. I can't see 30 + bikers passing a group of women and not stopping just to take a look. Still I say be glad they didn't.

Eye contact and hand signals could have helped in this situation....
I'll try to make eye contact and hand signals to see if they people / person
on the side of the road needs assistance.....

Usually its a thumbs-up or wave-by indicating everything is under control.

Exactly!
The picture looks like any other group of bikers who stopped for a break.

I find this rather interesting. Through no fault of any other rider on the roadway, your 4 "absolute KNOCK OUTS" (beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder) didn't get the attention that they weren't looking for (or needed) and they/you got insulted. Yep... I find that interesting.

Well, I think you've gotten a good indication as to the topic and everyone's input.

Now for the IMPORTANT question. Which one is your GF and are any of the other three single??

In all seriousness, though. I have to agree with the folks who stated, location and group appearance. However, it's still disappointing not one HD stopped.

I carry a cell phone and enough tools to cover almost any roadside issue. I dont signal anyone to stop because i usually have it covered and therefore i dont expect anyone to stop. If I really needed assistance I would signal for it, but Ive had a couple cool old school biker guys stop anyway and spend a minute bs'ing with me and see if they can offer some help. If someone looks broke down alone and doesnt appear to be just resting, Ill stop.

WOW! Readin some of these posts really makes me glad I live in the south. Down here if your broke down on the side of the road SOMEBODY is gonna stop and help. Even cagers will help bikers. I'm usually the guy with tools that is stopping to help. Sometimes I get waved off and sometimes my riding group leaves me. Yeah I know what your thinkin,,,,,I don't ride with that crowd much anymore!

Default maybe this would help...

maybe and im not suggesting we reinvent the wheel here but, why not have these bikes equipped w/emergency lights.. then at least oncoming traffic is alerted that your vehicle is/maybe unrideable or (you) are not safe-able to continue down the road.. just a suggestion
