ask, Is it normal to have your spark plugs different colours (burn patterns maybe).
I have a 2011 Ultra classic. When I got it new I had V&H power duals installed along with Stage one kit , kerkers and S.E. race tuner. Had a dynoed and was told it was set a little rich because it had 0 miles on it. Today, with about 6500 clicks on it I checked the plugs(outta boredom waiting for spring) the front plug looked great, Little brownish, no oil residue, no burning. Rear plug was white, maybe a little scorched but not bad.
I am not a mechanic, know just enough to get into trouble. Can each cylinder be tuned separately? Should I take back to the dealer for a tune , don't really want to pay for a dyno.
Saving that for a Big bore kit this fall.
Thanks

On many engines you can observe that one side of the spark plug is cooler / darker than the other because the fresh intake mixture cools one side of the isolator as it fills the cylinder.
You need to worry when the tip of the center electrode starts to become eroded and when the ceramic isolator looks 'really clean'.
A well matched spark plug will clean itself (bake-out) after a few hours of running and will reflect the combustion of the current engine it's used on.
Thanks Guy's, I appreciate all the answers. As always this place is helpful. The minute I say the first answer a Light bulb went on. Sometimes it's the forest for the tree's deal.
Thanks Again
