Yeah, go to your local shop and they sell a chrome helmet lock that bolts onto one of your front down tubes. Looks nice and is functional. I personally keep my helmet in my rear Tour Pak.
This is what I use to lock my helmets. It's cheap and portable. It has a soft foam cover on the top so it doesn't scratch anything and you can lock it to your bars or almost anywhere else on the bike.

This is a bit more $59.99 but it mounts directly to your bars or any other tube on your bike. It uses a cable and They make one long enough to loop it through the arm of a leather jacket so you can lock it to the bike also.
I hang my helmet from my right grip and in 20+ years no ones ever stole a helmet...prob because I dont buy expensive helmets and who wants some elses dirty helmet, those things get grodie inside here in AZ?
