I have 07 RK classic on order and had to choose between profile laced and stock laced I went wirh profile laced, was this the right pick?
I got the profile laced wheels almost by accident. I figured I wanted the cast wheels because they're less worrisome. I've always had laced wheels just 'cus they look right on a motorcycle. Anyways, the only RG my dealer had in stock in the color I wanted had the profile wheels on it. I think they're bitchin' looking and I'm glad I got them instead of the cast wheels. Just lucky, I guess.
Not only do they look really nice compared to old style wires, they are much easier to keep clean because they don't have the Lip around em that traps dirt and road grime. The Lip on the old style is actually a safety feature to keep the tire tube in proper position. I have never seen the inside of my Profiles but I would be curious to see what the did to compensate for this feature.....
