I don't want to jinx myself, but that's what insurance is for, and all of my other bikes don't have crash bars.

I pulled mine off my RKC.

H-D offers them in black. It makes them almost invisible.

I took my bag guards off and never put them back on. However, I've taken my engine guard off, put it back on, taken it off and put it back on again. I'm at that point where I don't think my bike looks much different either way. But I really like having the extra protection and I also like having highway pegs. And I'd post a pic of my ride if I knew how to make that happen using my phone.
