Looking at a new GPS for my 2012 FLHX, sorry know there is a new thread every day about them, but still not clear the Zumo 660
The HD Road Tech Zumo 660 needs to be installed with the Interface 76000024A. So the GPS voice commands will cut in on all sources of music CD, Radio, Ipod etc.
If how ever I were to get the normal Zumo 600 and run the audio cable from the GPS to the audio/in of the stock radio and I am using the AUX switch & listening to MP3 on the zumo the voice commands will interrupt the music?

+1 That's what I did for a couple years. But now I have a TON of mp3s so the 660 would not find them every once in a while (documented bug on zumoforums.com) I would have to restart my 660 a few times for it to find the mp3s...... So I'm using the iPod interface from Iron Cross audio and an iPod Nano, and the Nav Interface 76000024A
But for general use, and you may be lucky and not have the mp3 bug on your 660.... the aux cable works well.

Yes it will with the cable between the GPS and the AUX input and the radio on AUX, and playing MP3s on the GPS. The radio has to be on AUX. Any other source and the commands won't come through. That's why they sell the Navigation Interface Module. Then it will interrupt
radio, cd, WB, iPod, whatever.

I have the standard Zumo 660 hooked directly the Aux input on the stock radio. While playing MP3s the voice commands DO interrupt the MP3 music. The Zumo 660 can take up to an 8GB memory card. Depending on the bitrate it can hold between 1500 - 2000 songs.
Update - I have seen others say they were able to use a 16GB memory card, but I have only tested it with an 8GB.

As the others have already said, the Zumo will always speak the commands across the AUX input, so it will interrupt the MP3's since it is the player.
Only the RT version will interrupt the CD or radio, etc, and send the commands across the radio in any position.
I would ask why not the RT version? I haven't checked on them in a couple of years, but back then you could buy the RT version for basically the same price, and I actually think I bought the RT version cheaper than the regular Zumo, as I did own both at the same time.
