Default O2 sensors

I have V&H slip-ons, fulsac true duel kit, power commander III.
What is the purpose of the O2 sensor eliminators?
I left the O2 sensors as is and everything works great.
The O2 icon lights up on the speedometer when starting then
goes right out.
Thanks

Please do not take this as disputing the info on that website because I am here to learn more about HDs and they have tuned more HDs then I have. What I don't understand is, why they say thay can't run 14.7:1 A/F ratio at cruiseing RPM and loads and thushave to disable the O2/closed loop function? Having dyno tuned well over 1000 cars/trucks including air cooled turboPorsche engines, this closed loop 14.7 thing is one of the bestadvancements that has ever come down theenginepike. The CL manages this 14.7 no matter what the weather or elevation is giving a cleaner engine, better mileage and fewer emissions. If it could not run right at 14.7, we would be tearing things apart to find out why. It isn't often we can add something that doesn't cost us something concerning performance. To further confuse me, on our turbo, 107", cam and heads Ultra, I have it set for a 14.7 for cruisingthat I monitor with an A/F ratio indicator and have traveled 1000s of miles without any drivability or reliability issues, granted this is just one example. Am I cheating engine death? Some of the stock 88s and 95s CI Ultras that ride with us have gone back to the dealer complaining that our 107 gives better mileage then theirs. I suspectthat some of my success was complementing the A/F ratio with proper timing but who knows. If the Harley engine was so technically advanced that old, provenrules don't apply I could better understand this. I would like totake what I've learned from my experiance and apply it to my Harley engine, but I'm starting to wonder. Anyone elseunderstand my confusion?
