I did this same swap about a month ago. What's all the problem with the fairing cap and ignition?? I had no problem what so ever with that. This is the second one Ive done. I bought the NAMZ wire extension kit. Made it pretty simple. Every wire I pulled out of the Modex plug, I put the matching wire in it right away one by one. All I had to do then is match the colors after I mounted the bars. Piece of cake. I put a painted inner fairing on at the same time so it took a bit longer than the bars alone.

Gunnysgt, there are sevral postings about the problems with ignition plate etc. When installing these bars. Can you post some close up pics of your scoot particularly the before mentioned? Maybe the problem is just with the Glides for some strange reason.

I did the 575's and didn't have any problems with the switch cap or ignition. pretty much the same bars? 1 1/4 inch bars....
