Default CVO Style Lowers speaker options.

So got all my parts in for the install of these lowers speakers Painted and ready to go. and was going to go with a Rockford Fasgate speakers but I have heard there are issues with the HD speaker grills not really working with all speaker designs. so my questions before I order speakers to fill these things.

What speakers are known to work with the HD grills that are 4ohm?

Anybody try to put JL 6.5" woofers in these yet?

I want to use HD factory grills because I had them painted to match my bike color.

Focal 6 3/4" work with the HD grill. Just put them on a 2010 road glide. Most 6.5" woofers won't fit due to the depth of the enclosure.

Yeah Focal IC165 with factory HD grill. I have the pic of it with a JL Audio grill but I replaced those with the black plastic HD one just didn't take pics of it.

Can't say about the JL's, but most quality mfrs. post dimensional specs on their website so you can compare the Focal's, Hertz HCX 165's, etc. that others have installed to the JL's you're interested in.

Good luck with your project.

Can't say; just got the HCX for the lowers and HSK's for the fairing from a friend who swapped them out for Hybrid Audio Technologies speakers.

They're replacing Infinity Reference speakers, and the CVO speaker/boxes are at long last being painted, along with the HD saddlebag speaker lids.

Hope to have everything back together soon.
