Is there a way you can tighten and/or adjust the saddle bag latches? It seems when I hit a bump in the road the saddle latches pop up. Has anyone had this problem?
It may help to take off the canvas tethers and reinstall them either upside down or turned 180 degrees. Also, although I don’t always do it, locking the bags may help.
You are not closing them properly. Make sure the lids are seated properly before you close the latch. If they do not snap, they are not closed and they will pop open. That happens when the two tabs on the lid are not properly positioned under the hooks on the bags. Play with it a little and notice the mushy feel and the snap feel, if it feels mushy when you close the latch, they will pop open. If they snap closed then they will not pop open.
I always lock mine...You never seem to find out that they opened till its to late...Like your best hoodie is gone along with your shock pump wrapped inside....
Cheap peace of mind!!Just lock them...
That was happening to me as well. I found that the canvas flap was not folding over properly, getting bound up in the latch. Just make sure it's pushed over away from the latch . Worked for me , hope it works for you.

I agree with hemel: Make sure this flap folds over towards the inside on top of your stuff in the bag.
and like others have said, if it isn't snapping shut it's not locking properly.
