hey guys a buddy of mine just purchased a 2012 Ultra, he put pipes and a stage I. on it.
His comment was you can keep up with me since you upgraded your TC88 to a 95!
My comment was I hope so.
Is the stock 103 that powerful?
I'm thinking you'll do better than him. Those stock 103s are getting like mid 70s in HP and mid 80s in TQ, even with a stage one. Of course, I'm certainly no expert. YMMV.
Yup, his numbers were taken at the crank. He'll lose 15-20% of that through the driveline. Your numbers were taken at the rear wheel. You'll blow his doors.
You will smoke his 103. The 88/95 has a shorter stroke so it revs up much quicker. And your bike is built and tuned. His bike is a stock dog.
Now a 103 definitely has potential but in stock form you are easily putting down 20% more power.
Get him at a red light. Let him get a bike length or 2 on you then turn it up. You will be by him before the end of second gear.
I had a mild build 95" 04 egc and now have a 2011 RGU 103" stage 1 and the 04 even theo numbers are very close High 90's tq and 80hp the 04 definetly had more giddy up but the 2011 is by far smoother and better handling. So on a straight road you should walk away from him if he is an equal rider his will handle better.

I put Mono tubes in the front and Progressive's in the rear shocks.
Also added a Bagger brace, talking about handling better, it's not the same bike at all!
This upgrade is new too!
