I'm vertically challenged as many others, I put a reach seat on my 2012 RK, seat feels a little narrow in the butt, I have a mustang extra wide solo on my sportster (which feels great). I'm still not flat footed. Would the sundowner give me a wider seating area? What is the height difference? I think the reach also has me too far forward. I'm not against having the seat modded, if I can get a wider bucket and lower and still comfortable. If I have one customized can Memory Foam and Gel both be used and still be low?

 

i had my stock 2008 flhrc seat lowered and memory foam added buy MeanCity Cycle . looks great super comfey and way more THRIFTY than buying a new seat . Shipping was only $18.50 USPS with insurance to ship there and Allen shipped it back FedEX $15 ...

It had a few small rinkles but after 600 mile breakin they went away.

Total cost including shipping both ways just under $150 .

I did a Mean City modification also and am thrilled with the result. They dropped it an inch and narrowed it a bit (which is often more of a problem on the RK). The workmenship was great. They reshape the pan and change out the foam for hospital grade memory foam so you get a seat the fits your bum like a dream.
