Default Power Vision Question

I am doing some cleanup of the custom tunes on my power vision.

In one of the slots is a map labeled "copy of stock tune"

If I delete this map the original tune is still saved in the power vision correct?

I am thinking that the original tune would still be stored and accessible from the load tune screen that lets you select between preloaded , custom or copy of tune.

i 'believe' so. i think it does that because the stock tune itself is not editable on the pv, whereas that one is. but just to make sure, i would keep a copy of it on your computer. you can always reload it later if you need it.

Kind of what I thought just wanted to be sure.

Thanks skratch

The PV retains the original .STK file, which is your original stock tune pulled from the ECM during initial installation. You can delete the copy (PVT) that's in your tune slot, but I agree with Skratch that you should save it to your computer. It might be useful at times to compare the stock tune with a custom tune you are working with, and the "copy" tune (PVT) is the one you would use.

Any time you have a question about PV, consider going to the PV sticky thread in the ECM-Tuner section.

iclick,

I backed up and deleted the custom tunes and will reload just a couple to modify and adjust.

I will visit the sticky thread.

thanks
