I like traditions & I like the whole concept of a friend giving it to you. It's bikers looking out for bikers so who gives a rats *** if they work or not. If someone cares enough about you to give it to you why not put it on.
If the bell is given to you it shows that someone was thinking about you & cares for your well-being. There's strong MOJO in that fact & IMO is where thesource ofany 'magic' concerning the bell originates.
hard yo say maybe yes, maybe no. good friend bought me a nice USMC bellwithin days of getting my new bake. looked to see where his was attached and copied (or so I thought). I attached it with the bolt that holdsthe brake line block in place directly under the fork cross memebr. guess what, it hangs just a wee bit lower than my friends and I now have a very nice dent the size of a 50 cent piece on the top of my fender. yep, you guessed it right, that front fork sure does travel a lot more than you think ouch!!!!!!! first thought was, yea it brought me luck, just bad luck. But I quicklyaccepted responsibility for my own ignorance and am still appreciative for the goodthoughts and a gift from a friend. Thanks Mike
Well I think they help, I had to lay my bike down 11/06/06 . I was going to T-Bone a farm tractor <that turned left while I was passing>went to the ditch.I ended up with a totaled bike and 10 screws 3 washers and plate in my ankle. BUT IM ALIVE TO RIDE ANOTHER DAY!!!! I was the thrid motocycle accident that day <20 mile raduis > Im the only one that lived. Thats just my opinion.
