Default week long conference

Got a week long conference to go to out of state and considering riding the bike. I have rarely locked my bike and never worried about security, that is what i have insurance for. So far i have been lucky! However, i have alos never taken my bike to a conference where i will be in class 8 hrs a day and returning to the same hotel everynight. So my question is should i be concerned. The obvious fear is while I am in class and overnight the bike will be sitting in the parking lot for a long time and easy pick'ns for those with low morals.

I would appreciate any advice and or suggestions (and no i can't bring the bike in the room with me). BTW the conference is in DC if that would change any suggestions.

Ride it and have a good time. Lock her up and try and park close to the entrance.

Just try and pay attention during the conference. : /

Make sure your insurance coverage amount is up to date, try to park it in a "safe" location, buy a cover for a Goldwing, Lock the forks, put the cover on it and relax. Remember it must be a Goldwing cover. It will be there when you come back to it. Happy Trails....

Tips go a long way! Your bike will be watched well. Even allowed in that special spot.

Recon the camera positions in the hotel, you can usually see the monitor from the front desk, or just ask where to park in clear view of the cameras, ask 'em to keep an eye on your bike.

Thanks for the tips. I am 99% the sure i am going to ride it. I would like to keep it as safe as possible, but if someone takes it I can always get a 12!

The conference is early May, not end of April. But i may get a chance to hop on skyline dr if I take the bike.

I go on yearly road trips, the hotels are pretty good at letting us park under the front entrance overhang as long as we do not take over the entrance way. Lock the forks you can use a disk lock and cover if you want.

I have never stayed in a hotel when riding that did not let me park right in front by the front door. Ride your bike and have a good time.
