Decided to do my 20,000 mile service myself. Haven't wrenched much, but everything has been going pretty good. Until now.
I am trying to loosen the lock nut to adjust the clutch pack, but the whole primary spins when I try to do so. I was using this video here as an example.
In the video it pops loose easy, but I can't get mine to break. Any tips / tricks that would help?
Ha, you didn't pay close attention to the video did you. No worries, I didn't either at first. Put you socket wrench on it and bang the handle with you hand. You need to give the nut a quick sharp "pop" and it will break loose. Doesn't take a lot of pressure it is just the fast movement that breaks it loose.
