Quick release tour pak

Just installed the quick release hardware on my 02 FLHTCI. The bike looks great, but I cant get the damn tour pak back on. I have loosened up the mounting points so they can be adjusted but it wont go back on. Any advice?

gonna bet the problem is not the docking points but the QD brackets on the tp. Had the same problem with the tp on my RKC. Had to work one side at a time time first few times and spread the brackets a litte each time. Easier with 2 people. It does seem to get easier the more you take it off. Mine only comes off when I clean the bike so it's only a couple times a year. Good luck
