Issue: What bike is better, a Street Glide or a Road Glide?
Trying to decide between a street glide and a road glide can be tough. Below you can find some opinions on what are the advantages and disadvantages between each model.
Things to consider:
-Distance you will be riding
-Your height
-Storage room
-ETC
Of course you will want to ride each bike before you make your decision, but the thread below will give you things to consider before making your choice.
you gotta decide if your a leader, and like to have something a little rarer, and different out in the parking lot on bike night , .. (Road Glide) or a follower , and follow the latest fad cause everyone else has one.(Street glide )
Werd... It's the best selling touring bike out there... It must suck!

No the street glide doesnt suck, its a sweet ride , I had one in 06' when they first came out , then after I saw 10 million of them that all looked alike I decided to go Road Glide ...I'm not a monkey see monkey do kinda guy ... Everyone has to make that decision for themselves
Kinda was in the same boat as you. Never was a fan of the Road Glide until recently. Well time came to trade in my Wide Glide and I saw the 2012 Road Glide and just couldnt take my eyes off it.
Salesmen finally said, here is the keys to the 2009 RGU over there, just try out the Road Glide and see if you like it.
End of story. Went home the next morning with my 2012 Road Glide.
Month later my wife went and traded in her Street Bob for a Street Glide, now i get off my Road Glide and get on her Street Glide and i truly do not like the Street Glide. I'm not trying to stir up anything here, but compared to the R.G. it feels inferior. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE the look of a Street Glide, but im forever sold on the Road Glide.....
It's about time that somebody started a thread about Street Glide vs Roadglide. This topic has been beaten to death and is as old as ford vs chevy vs dodge. Buy a road glide and this is what you'll see when you open the door to your garage.
