We have those Hd drink holder ones. The wife says the water bottles dig into her leg. Also she isn't very gracefull while retrieving the water bottle so I have to reach for it but it isn't a bad reach.

Have the HD ones on my Ultra, bag/water bottle on the left and plain bag on the right. Nice extra storage, great spot to be able to reach the water bottle to get a drink while riding. They also do a nice job of protecting the front of the bags from road debris and chips.
