Im running a 2-1 on my streetglide and love the performance. My boss runs a 2-1 with ghost pipe, and to me it just doesn't sit right. I wouldn't add a ghost pipe just to give the appearance of a 2-1-2. But then again hes got all kinds of money he can burn so he must know what hes doing for resale value down the road.

I am running the V&H twin slash 2into1 slip on. I really like the sound, however I might change it out for something little louder.

Default Thunderheaders Installed on Ultra Limited '11

Yep, for my 2011 Ultra Limited I installed the Thunderheader 2x1 with falsee on left side. It was a good fit except for clearing the engine's heat shield on one side or the other (can't remember which, as I took them both off for a better appearance). The falsee pipe routes up behind the engine rather than below the frame which shows more tailpipe chrome on the left side of the bike.

I run the 2x1 Thunderheader on my Fat Boy as well (88). The pipes are a lot louder on the Limited (103) but not an issue on long trips.

After some research, I had the D & D 2 into 1 put on my 2012 Ultra along with a ghost pipe for looks. I also had a stage 1 done. I am very happy the the increased preformance and bad *** sound.

Does anyone have dyno numbers to back up their performance claims or just guesses? My true duals are killing my 120R and I'm gonna bite the bullet and go 2 into 1 but I don't want to waste my time or money on anything but the best as far as performance gains. I'm looking for real dyno numbers, not "it feels faster". (I've heard the D&D Bosszilla is the best for big inch motors but nothing factual.) I won't be using a ghost pipe, but I think it would be cool if a ghost pipe could be modded into some sort of alternate storage compartment. Tool box maybe or secret "stash" compartment.

The V&H makes noticeably bigger hp/torque up to 3k and loses slight mid/upper hp/tq. While the D&D does make better peak numbers, I cannot feel where the Fatcat is stronger but I can sure tell the Propipe is stronger on the bottom.
Biggest reason I changed was sound. I just couldn't live with the D&D's sound. I didn't like it from it's first fire up and knew I would change it. Both are loud but the V&H is much deeper than the hollow sound of the D&D.

Oh yeah...no ghost pipe here!
Good review. Nice to pick up that low end torque.

Had the Pro Pipe...didn't like the sound or the drone. Went with the Rush Reaper and the sound and performance is much improved and the ceramic coating is the cats a$$!!

While I was at the most recent Thunder Beach Rally, the Vance & Hines tent had a street glide with the 120R motor with their new 2-1 Pro Pipe Stainless. The pipe looked really good but the sound was unreal. The sound was really deep and sounded awesome.
