The Supermeg was around 94 torque and then grew to 104.
The pro pipe was at 82 torque and only went to 86. It was a pretty flat line.
Both lines started dropping off around 4200 - 4300
Now maybe i had a bad tune on the VH? I had it done at local Harley and maybe the guy wasnt as experienced? Dont know.
For the Supermeg, I took it all the way to Little Chute Wi and had Fuelmoto do it. They sell, install and tune Supermegs so i just had more confidence in them knowing what they were doing.
I have the V&H Pro Pipe and I happen to love it. It's about as deep a tone as I've ever heard and it's really not too loud at all. The finish is great, the look is great and I happen to like the sound as well.
As far a ghost pipes...if you want it to have duals, put duals on it. I put a 2:1 on it and want it to look accordingly.
A wise man once said:
"It's only got one air cleaner and here it is *point*.
It's only got one horn and here it is *point*.
It's only got one primary and here it is *point*.
It's only got one sprocket and here it is *point*
It's only got one exhaust and here it is *point*."
Why pretend you have duals if you don't ? I don't get it. *Shrug*
Drill (1) 1-1/8 hole in the baffle end cap and the ProPipe wakes up without losing the bottom end. The area of that (1) 1-1/8" hole and the (36) 1/4" holes in the baffle equal the area of (1) 1-7/8" larger step of the primary header. Really wakes that pipe at 3500+ rpms adding 10-12 hp without any tq loss. It will be louder but a smoother sound. Just removing the baffle will result in Tq loss. Easy mod !! Be amazed and do it !!!!!!!!!!!
I love the looks of this Bassani RR II - I only wish that it would have been available for the CVO FLSTSE3
WD
Thanks, only problem that I have is right hand sweepers at speed, the front heat shield "rubs" the pavement......alittle.
I've been told my more that a few engine builders/tuners that the Bassani is right up there with the top pipes on hp/tq
I like the look and performance of the Vance & Hines 2-1 pipe. I would never put a ghost pipe on because I prefer the 2-1 look. I also like the sound of the V&H, not quite as loud as the D&D (which is also a very nice 2-1).
D&D makes 3 baffles for the Fatcat exhaust. The loudest ones is the performance baffle. It sounds great, but is way too loud for an extended ride. The standard baffle is in the middle volume wise. My pipe has this baffle. It's still a pretty loud pipe, louder than my friends V&H Propipe. The other option is what they call their concentric or quiet baffle. I've never heard one, so can't give any review on what this baffle sounds like.
I run a 4" 2-1 rhinehart. looks good, doesnt make much noise at an idle but it barks when you jump on it. I think its a good pipe but i dont have anything to compare it to.
