Rid'n!
James: Do I know you? LOL...... My first personal four wheel vehicle was a '46 Ford 1/2 ton Pickup. Wish I still had it. It had a V8-60 engine with straight dual exhausts and NO mufflers. I have never been without a pickup truck being in the family 'fleet'. Right now it is a '04 Chevy Silverado Quadrasteer 4X4. Neat pickup! It turns in a radius smaller than a VW Bug. ........ BC
Seems I've posted this before, but what the hay....
I've been riding since I was 3, (with my dad) He owned 5 Harleys, 2 Nortons, and 1 Indian.
Myself, 33years, and started with a suzuki 250 street bike (had bags windshield) And I rode my 3 year old son on it,
Actually had 2 of them, then a Suzuki 500 Ram Air Induction 2 stroke, (scary)
Then I bought a Honda 550 4, this was a real step up for me, no more ring ding ding ding, just vroom..
Had this untill I wrecked (with wife) we slid across a major intersection, it was weird, like time stood still,
and there was NO CARS anywhere... skined my knee, wifes pride was injured, she slid across the road on her bottom,
all the while clutching the bag of sale items we bought at Wolco, when they went out of business.
Then a Honda 900 Custom, Had two of them, Kawasaki 1000 LTD, My Son had the matching 750 LTD, Kawasaki 1300FI inline 6 Voyager, (Huge bike)
I've had 5 Goldwings, 1 04 Harley EG Standard, 1 06 EG Ultra, and now my 2007 FLHX StreetGlide.
I'm 54 and still love to ride, My son rides with me (when he has time) he rides a Susuki 700 Madura, and is currently rebuilding a 2000 92ci Victory Custom.
I feel riding is like flying, nothing like the feeling of the air rushing around you and the wide open sights of God's Creations.
Can't imagine anything better, except maybe handgliding...

Just got my second street bike a few days ago...
I'm a new guy to street bikes - did some dirt bike riding in High School, but at the age of 42 I discovered street bikes and am an absolute fanatic now. I ride daily and HATE driving any four wheeled vehicle unless absolutely necessary.
I have a 135 mile daily round-trip commute and this is my daily Therapy!
I've been riding for 14 months now and have logged 34,000 miles in that time.
I cut my teethon an '01 Yamaha V-Star 1100 and just got my second bike 5 days ago - an '05 Electra Glide Classic that my dad gave me for Christmas cuz he bought himself a new identical '07 Electra Glide and passed this one on to me. A greater Christmas gift no-one could ask for I must say - after my initial heart-attack I'm now absolutely in love with this bike. It's a beauty and rides like a dream.

14 years street time and a couple years on a minibike long, long ago. Owned a2001 Dyna Super Glide, 2003 Low Rider, and a 2006 Road Glide.
Started riding in 1992 on a Kawasaki KZ1000P (police edition) for a military police unit. Competed the MSF course and then the Solo Police Motorcycle Riders Course in Florida. Rode10 hours a day for 2 1/2 years on the traffic detail (accident investigation and radar patrol).

Bought my first bike, a 2001 Dyna Super Glide,in 2001. Modified it after another guy on a sportbike t-boned me after illegallypassing me whilespeeding.

Rode it for 5 years and sold it after trading a 2003 Low Rider in for a 2006 Road Glide.

I'm nowcertified to teach the MSF course and have been doing that since 2002.
