Default Which spark plug?

I finally got a chance to ride my bike for the first time this year and it's running like $hit! Gonna drain the gas and run some fresh with some fuel injecter cleaner through. While I'm at it may as well throw on a fresh set of plugs. I hope thus is all it is. Kinds weird though, it ran fine when I stored it. Filled the tank full with gas with sta bill and it sat in a heated garage all winter. Pulled it out twice and let it run for 20 min. Hopefully this isn't a bigger problem than fuel.

So what plug are you guys using? Don't think it matters but it's a 10 SG 96" w 555s, fat cats and a pc5.

If you used StaBil I seriously doubt it's a gas problem. Stock plugs are probably the best.

It's not good to allow an air cooled engine to run for "20" minutes sitting still. Bad things can happen. Not saying that is your problem, but it is a well documented no-no.

Use the stock H-D plug. Little anti-sieze, torque to specs, and might as well get
SE wires.

A common mistake that many make is cranking it up during winter & let it idle for a little time. Idling for 20 mins doesn't allow the motor to get off the "rich" setting used for cold cranking. That can lead to a fouled plug. If youre gonna crank it, go ride it.

It may not apply to your circumstance but it does apply to many.

I like NGK or Autolites but have used Champions in the past. Normally I run 1 range cooler than stock.
I find that HD plugs are a bit too hot for my tune.

Buy what makes ya happy.

Sta-Bil worked great on the earlier fuel blends. Todays fuels have alcohol in them, as much as 12-15%, sometimes even more, regardless of what the pump says.(10% max ethanol, etc.)
They have a new one made for fuel/alcohol blends like we use currently and it works MUCH better for storing anything over 90 days.

If I read this right you should be using premium fuel.
