Do you trust a HD Gauge to work properly??? Air temp, fuel gauge, etc......................
I'd steer clear of OEM stuff. IMHO
Don't have a Wally's around here that has a MC section. If I did, would theirs match my other gauges?
No, not Wal-Mart (aka Wally World), actually Wally's Cycle World. Several others have posted links. BTW, the Wally guage has a better installation setup at the engine end than the H-D version, and is less expensive, to boot. I haven't heard of any quality problems with the Wally guage, either.

Yeah I sure do feel DUMB. All this time I've seen references to Wally's, I took it for Wal-Mart. Just thought that the guys who posted for Wally's had Wal-Mart superstores near them with MC departments. Anyone got some toast and bacon to go with the egg on my face?

It is only better in that it is easier to install, the HD in-line setup is more accurate.
The HD setup can be a real bear to install(I know, I've installed a half a dozen of them), but it is worth it IMHO.
I have both. Got the dipstick one first but didn't like it because you can't read it while driving. Then I ordered a gauge from Wally's for my SG. It was close but didn't match my other gauges to my satisfaction, so I took the hit on the restocking fee and got an HD gauge.
I have both the dip stick & the HD gage. Installed the in dash gage so I could keep track while riding. The install was a PITA getting the sending unit in the oil line as HD suggested because of the limited space. Once done they say the hose cover will not fit. If you place the clamps right it will fit without any modifications. There is even a opening in the lower rear side of the cover for the wireing to pass through. I used the power connections from the Air temp gage to power the new gage instead of running a new power wire as was stated in the instructions. Both gages read within a few degrees of each other but the in dash is more usable.
By the way, those LED gauges are trouble prone(I know, I've owned a couple)& notoriously innacurate.
Being innacurate is not really a big deal when your talking oil temp, but there is absolutely NO WAY I would depend on a POS Harley LED gauge to tell me my oil level(I mean, what's it take, 30 seconds to check it the right way???)

I've owned a couple of LED guages also. None have been stolen and both of the previous ones were notoriously accurate. For the record, I don't happen to think of my HD LED gauge as a POS. And I looked in my service manual and there is no reference to a "right way" to check the oil level.
