Default Oil Temperature Gauge...

Which gauge would you go with? The fairing mounted (75265-04) to replace the useless "Air Temp" gauge or the LED Dipstick (62946-05) model?

WALLY's fairing mount.

Do you trust a HD Gauge to work properly??? Air temp, fuel gauge, etc......................

I'd steer clear of OEM stuff. IMHO

No doubt in my mind. Get rid of the air temp. gauge. Easy to "walk-off" with the dipstick style. Happened to me years ago on my Sportster. The fairing mounted gauge is a bit labor intensive, but worth the effort. Looks great too.

Don't have a Wally's around here that has a MC section. If I did, would theirs match my other gauges?

My local HD shop sold me an after market silver faced gauge for my Street Glide. Matches pretty close to the factory gauge. I am very pleased with it.

I went with the HD in-dash Oil Temp gauge to replace the Ambient Air Temp gauge .. it's easier to read at eye level and you don't have to worry about someone walking off with your oil dip stick.

Neither. Both are more a novelty than anything else (IMHO). And, the oil dipstick is too easy to rip off.

How close to real temp is the dipstick model?
