Default What gives??????

I have an '02 EG Classic with 24k and aftermarket exhaust and no other mods that I know of. I don't thrash it while driving but I only got 100 miles in my last tank. I finally strted measuring the mileage since I noticed it sucked. Time to change the plugs??

I'd start with fresh gas in the tank, new spark plugs, and check tire pressures. All can affect mpg. Beyond that, I'd take it to a reliable indy or dealership to have a look, especially if it hasn't had all scheduled maintenance.

Yeah, time to see and indy about that. Avoid the dealer at all cost.

Definitely check the spark plugs or replace and gap them correctly. Pulled them on my wife's '02 and the gap was at 60. Time will tell if this tank of gas is better. Hopefully I'll smell less gas in the garage and when following too.

60??? Holy crapola, I don't even have a plug gauge that goes up that far.

I have one of those cheap *** round wheels that does. I was floored when I checked it. Garage smelled like I was running a 2cycle motor in there it was so gassy.

However. I SWEAR one out of every 5 times I take plugs out I smash the damn ground by dropping the f'ing thing on the floor!

Use a socket with a magnet in it or a piece of tubing to do the final turns out and the initial turns in.
